This afternoon while slurping coffee with a good friend and discussing the finer points of PATRIOTS football we had the honor of talking to Gary Cherone, frontman and lead singer of the band EXTREME. Gary is, without a doubt one of the BEST lyricist in the world. Bernie Taupman be damned, and a great lead singer. Gary also did a little stint with a guy and a band named Van Halen a couple of years back as well. You simply cannot argue with his musical chops. Now Gary is doing the very successful solo thing as you can see here: www.cherone.com

We can only hope EXTREME can get back together on a more permanent basis in the VERY NEAR future. (HINT HINT) I sense there is a lot a good music left to be made with these guys.

It had been a few years since I had talked to Gary and he hasn't changed. Class is the best word I can think of to describe him. Gracious, generous and humble. No ego for a guy,(to steal a line from a guy named BonJovi) who "has seen a million faces and rocked them all."

It was very nice of Gary to take the time and talk with us about Patriots Football, The NFL in general and of course MUSIC. Thanks Gary. Hope to see you again and soon.
